PSU and Krungthai Bank Strengthen Financial Skills for Student Loan Fund Borrowers - “Krungthai Loves Smart University 2026” Promotes Financial Literacy and Responsible Money Management

Prince of Songkla University, or PSU, in collaboration with Krungthai Bank, organized the third session of “Krungthai Loves Smart University 2026” for students under Thailand’s Student Loan Fund, or SLF.

The program aims to strengthen students’ financial knowledge and practical money management skills, helping them plan their finances more effectively in everyday life while preparing for future debt management and student loan repayment after graduation.

The activity was held on September 18, 2026, at PSU’s REG 203 Lecture Room. Students who had participated in earlier sessions, as well as other interested students, took part in interactive and hands-on learning activities.

The training focused on three key areas: investment, retirement planning, and basic tax planning. Workshops and financial board games were also used to simulate real-life situations, giving students opportunities to practice financial decision-making, including debt management, financial health assessment, risk management, and insurance planning.

An important part of the program is encouraging students to develop financial discipline while still at university. Participants were encouraged to keep track of their income and expenses, reduce unnecessary spending, and recognize the value of careful financial planning. These skills can help prepare them to manage their financial responsibilities, including future SLF loan repayments.

The “Krungthai Loves Smart University 2026” program was conducted in three sessions, held in July, August, and September. Students who completed all three sessions will receive a certificate from Krungthai Bank and have an opportunity to take part in a selection process for a four-day, three-night Boot Camp, designed to further develop their financial knowledge and skills.

Beyond helping students manage their own finances, the program also encourages participants to become student financial role models, sharing what they have learned with their peers, exploring opportunities to build additional income, and contributing to a stronger culture of financial responsibility within the university and wider community.
