PSU Honors Retiring Staff from Three Administrative Offices - Celebrating Years of Service and Passing on Values Across Generations
Prince of Songkla University, or PSU, held its 2026 Retirement Appreciation Ceremony to honor and express gratitude to retiring staff members for their years of dedication and valuable contributions to the university.
The ceremony took place on September 18, 2026, at the Phumpanyasin Meeting Room, Suvarnabhumi Studies Institute, Prince of Songkla University.
The event honored retirees from three university offices: the Office of the President, Office of the University Council, and Office of Education and Innovative Learning.
Assistant Professor Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University, presided over the ceremony and delivered a tribute to the retirees. He also presented commemorative gifts and flowers in recognition of their dedication and contributions throughout their years of service.
The PSU President noted that retiring staff members have played an important role in the university’s growth and development, while also setting valuable examples for younger generations of staff. In 2026, a total of 197 PSU personnel from across the university are retiring.
He also reflected on the importance of teamwork in helping PSU navigate changes and challenges over the years. The experience, knowledge, and approaches developed by senior colleagues can provide valuable lessons for the next generation as they continue to contribute to the university and its role in serving society.
Another meaningful part of the ceremony was a session titled “Memories from Seniors to the Next Generation,” where representatives of the retiring staff shared their experiences, reflections, and memorable moments from their time at PSU. The session provided an opportunity to pass on knowledge and values from one generation to the next.
The ceremony concluded with a commemorative group photo and a luncheon shared in a warm and appreciative atmosphere.
While retirement marks the completion of formal service, the friendships, shared values, and sense of connection with Prince of Songkla University remain. The contributions of retiring staff will continue to form part of PSU’s foundation and help inspire future generations as they carry the university forward.
