The signing ceremony took place on 20 August 2026 at the 53-Seat Meeting Room, Lecture Building 3, Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Jumphon Chuenjitsiri, Vice President for Trang Campus, said the collaboration represents another important step for Prince of Songkla University in connecting academic knowledge, research, and innovation with the private sector, particularly in the fields of clean energy and technology, which play an increasingly important role in sustainable development. He added that the partnership is expected to lead to the development of practical pilot projects within the university, while creating opportunities to extend knowledge and innovation to surrounding communities and wider society.

Mr. Suradech Srikalara, Managing Director of Theos Corporation Co., Ltd., said the company has expertise in clean energy and comprehensive energy management technologies. He noted that the partnership with Prince of Songkla University provides an important opportunity to combine the company's technology and industry experience with the university's academic and research expertise. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to jointly develop energy solutions that address practical needs, reduce environmental impacts, and have the potential to serve as models for future expansion.

The MOU focuses on promoting cooperation in clean energy and innovation, supporting joint education, research, and technology development, and encouraging the exchange of knowledge, personnel, and experience. It also provides a framework for developing pilot projects that can be implemented in real-world settings.

One of the key areas of cooperation is an electric motorcycle rental initiative. The two parties will jointly study, develop, and promote electric motorcycle services, together with supporting infrastructure such as charging stations and usage management systems. The initiative is intended to provide a more environmentally friendly transportation option, help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and encourage greater use of clean energy within the university.

Another area of cooperation involves the development of energy management software. The university and the company will jointly explore, develop, and apply software and digital systems for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing energy consumption. The resulting data can be used to improve energy management efficiency and support more effective and responsible use of resources.

Under the MOU framework, both parties may also expand their cooperation through research, training, seminars, knowledge exchange, innovation development, and other related activities. These efforts are expected to create mutual benefits in academic advancement, technological development, and social development, while contributing to a sustainable transition toward clean energy.
