Prince of Songkla University provides reasonable accommodation and targeted support for students with disabilities through its disability support services, student welfare mechanisms and financial assistance programmes.

Reasonable Accommodation and Support

Through the PSU Disability Support Services Center (PSU DSS CENTER / PSU DSS Buddy Home), the University coordinates adjustments and support according to the needs of students with disabilities.

Support may include:

• assistive technologies and learning-support equipment;

• support personnel, including sign-language interpreters where required;

• assistance and adjustments for examinations;

• coordination of scholarships and student welfare;

• referral to counselling and mental-health services; and

• coordination of physical accessibility and Universal Design improvements.

These measures are intended to reduce disability-related barriers and enable students to participate equitably in learning and university life.

Financial Support

PSU provides dedicated financial assistance for students with disabilities.

In Academic Year 2025, 32 students with disabilities received financial support from the University to help reduce additional education-related expenses associated with disability.

Eligible students may also access scholarships and other financial assistance in accordance with University regulations.

Accommodation and Welfare Support

PSU also provides accommodation and welfare support for students with disabilities where appropriate. Students with disabilities are recognised among priority groups for University support, helping them access suitable living and learning conditions.

Institutional Commitment

Through disability support services, financial assistance, academic adjustments, counselling and improvements to physical accessibility, PSU seeks to ensure that students with disabilities are not disadvantaged in accessing and participating in higher education.
