Metric: Measures against discrimination
Have anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all members of the University community.
Anti-discrimination Policy
PSU prohibits unjust discrimination in its admissions, employment, education and other institutional activities. The University’s policies protect individuals from discrimination based on characteristics including nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, language, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status and socioeconomic background.
These principles apply to students, academic and professional staff and are incorporated into University admissions and human-resource policies.
Anti-harassment and Bullying
PSU also prohibits harassment, bullying and other behaviour that undermines human dignity. University guidelines cover verbal, physical, visual, social and cyber harassment, sexual harassment, psychological abuse, intimidation and other forms of inappropriate conduct.
The Announcement on Gender Equality Guidelines for Staff and Students at Prince of Songkla University B.E. 2567 (2024) requires staff and students to treat one another with dignity and equality and prohibits bullying, discrimination, exploitation, harassment and devaluation based on gender, gender identity or gender expression.

Complaints and Protection
PSU has established formal procedures for receiving and handling complaints and for protecting complainants, witnesses and respondents. Complaints are treated confidentially, with consideration given to the safety and privacy of all parties involved. The University also protects complainants and witnesses from retaliation, intimidation, unfair treatment or adverse changes to their work as a result of making a complaint, serving as a witness or providing information.
Respondents are also protected through fair procedures, including the presumption of innocence during the investigation, the right to respond to allegations and the right to present relevant evidence. These procedures strengthen PSU’s institutional framework for addressing misconduct and protecting individuals who raise concerns.

Through these policies and procedures, PSU seeks to prevent discrimination and harassment, protect the rights and dignity of members of the University community, and maintain an inclusive environment across its campuses and operations.
