In 2025, the Faculty of Science and Industrial Technology, PSU Surat Thani Campus, implemented the New Breed Graduate Programme: “Teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Coding in the 21st Century.” The programme was developed in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
The programme is designed for teachers, lecturers, education personnel and working-age participants who seek to strengthen their competencies in artificial intelligence and coding and apply these skills in their professional practice.
Delivered through a combination of online and on-site learning, the programme runs for six months with a total of 385 learning hours. Its content includes AI in teaching and learning, AI in the global context, coding, and the changing role of teachers in the digital era.
As a non-degree certificate programme, it provides an alternative learning pathway for external learners seeking professional development without enrolling in a university degree programme.

This initiative demonstrates PSU’s commitment to expanding lifelong learning opportunities and developing future-ready professional skills for the wider community.
