6.5.7 Promoting conscious water usage in the wider community
Metric: Water in the community
Actively promote conscious water usage in the wider community.
In 2025, Prince of Songkla University actively promoted responsible water-resource management among local communities, local authorities, and external stakeholders through training and knowledge-sharing activities.
The “Nine Local Resource Survey Worksheets” training programme, held from 26–28 March 2025, strengthened participants’ capacity to survey, document, and manage local resources, including water, soil, and climate, to support sustainable resource use and conservation.
The programme engaged 78 participants, of whom 39 completed the post-training evaluation. Overall satisfaction reached 93.25%. Among respondents, 96% reported that they benefited from the activity, while 91% indicated that they expected to apply the knowledge gained in the future.
These results demonstrate PSU’s contribution to strengthening local capacity and encouraging more informed and sustainable management of community resources.

PSU also organised a seminar on “Tap Water Production and Quality Control” on 23 May 2025, with more than 80 participants from government agencies, private organisations, and educational institutions. The programme promoted awareness of safe water production, water-quality monitoring, and responsible water management.

Additional community engagement activities, including the 16th “Hat Yai Strong, Fighting Floods” forum, further supported public awareness and participation in local water management and resilience.
